Three Products for Bright Eyes

Ask anyone what their best feature is and they will probably tell you its their eyes. Eyes are both beautiful and mesmerising and say so much about a person. However, I must admit I am always trying to make mines brighter, less puffy and I guess more 'sparkly'. As my eyes are my best facial feature I like to make them pop and stand out when I'm doing my make up so I often use different tricks and tips to make them seem brighter and bigger than they actually are. Especially after those mornings after (if you know what I mean)...

Eye Treatments and Creams
The best under eye cream for really moisturising and getting rid of dark circles that I have used that actually works is my Kiehls Avocado Eye Treatment. Granted this is a treatment rather than a light cream so I only use it at night but I would be at a complete loss without it. It has such a beautifully creamy texture that sinks into the skin overnight relieving all those pesky symptoms of tiredness that I normally suffer with frequent early rising. Although it doesn't make a huge difference to my dark circles it provides Vitamin A and fatty acids preventing any puffiness giving me the impression of looking wide-eyed and awake. This is probably one of the best intensive treatments for the eyes and one with impressive effects!

Using Concealer
The Best Concealer for minimizing those dark circles is without one shadow of a doubt (SEE WHAT I DID THERE?!) the Benefit Boiing Concealer. Whilst I used to find this hard to work with as, yes it is pretty dry and cakey and pink toned, I now realise that my problem was not the actual product itself but rather the fact I wasn't using a decent eye cream making my under eye area like a bazillion times more dry. I normally put this on after using my cream but before I put my foundation on top and I always find that using my finger is the best way to do this as it really warms up the product and transforms it into a creamy, blend-able consistency. The best think about this product is that it lasts the day without creasing, oxidising, disappearing completely or any of those other things that get me so frustrated. I do however like to apply a little bit of Rimmel Wake Me Up concelaer over the top once I have my foundation on so not only have I covered up my bags I've also given some added brightness to the area.

Final Touches
You may think that lashings upon lashings of black mascara is the best way to open up your eyes and make them appear bigger but I've recently slipped a new product into my make up bag which does this even better. The NYX Wonder Eye Pencil is a nude coloured liner, available in three shades, which when applied to the waterline gives the illusion of bigger brighter and all round more sparkly eyes. I like to pay special attention to the inner corners of my eye by applying this and even sometimes a white highlighter or eye shadow over the top. I also can't believe how long this cheap and cheerful product lasts without smudging and it looks much more natural than the harsh white eye liner I used to use for the same effect! If I'm going out sometimes I like to use some eye drops and I'd recommend Optrex Eyedew Dazzling Eye Drops because they really soothe my eyes, especially if I have to go out anywhere after a day of working or studying, but day-to-day I don't usually bother with this step.

How do you make the most of your eyes? Are you as obsessed with making them stand out as I am?
