November Birchbox with Tatler

As a fairly new Birchbox subscriber it has to be said that for me to keep on subscribing every month I have to feel like these boxes are living up to their expectations. Whilst last months box was fairly average I have to admit that this months box was pretty much perfect for me. To top it all off the peacock feather design by Tatler is just fabulous and will definitely be getting recycled...

This month the box is supposedly centred around the party season which is a really cute idea that really has my mind conjuring up all kinds of festive thoughts. I absolute love the festive period whether its going late night shopping with my mum, Christmas cocktails with the girls or cosy nights in watching Its a Wonderful Life with hot chocolate and my other half. I always find that I have so many more events and fun things to attend around November/December time which builds up my excitement for Christmas itself. Although these products are more aimed at nights out than anything else ...

Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse
Now a hell of a lot of people don't really get excited about getting a moisturiser in their beauty box but as a self confessed skincare fanatic this is exactly the kind of thing I like to receive. This smells wonderful and apparently has an anti-fatigue effect on the skin boosting skin anti-oxidant levels, promoting hydration and an all round wakening up effect for dull tired skin. As I'm off to Germany for the New Year I'm going to save this to take with me to use then as I reckon it will be perfect for use during a flight.

Beauty Protector
Even though I have the longest thickest hair ever (its both a blessing and  curse) I really don't ever like to receive hair products in beauty boxes and I'm far happier to just buy whats in offer in the local supermarket. Apparently this protects from damage, conditions, and de-tangles and is also a Birchbox exclusive. I will most likely give this to my mum as this is much more up her street than it is mine if I'm perfectly honest. I don't have any objections to the product and others will probably love it it just simply isn't for me.

Wet Brush
Apparently this is a de-tangling brush with intelliflex bristles to minimise damage to the hair and can be used on wet and dry hair. Apart from the colour and the fact its the perfect handbag size I'm not terribly excited about this either but I'll still use it and its always nice to have a few good hairbrushes in your collection as I'm always misplacing mines or leaving them at friends houses. It is the only full size product in the box though and it's worth £11.99 so its good to know that I'm making back my subscription costs.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Primer
This is probably the most exciting product out of them all. I like the idea and concept of this and its also a huge bonus that I've never tried anything by this brand which makes me even more intrigued. Apparently this is a lip primer which helps lipstick to last longer while also conditioning the lips with the help of Vitamin E and peppermint oil. Honestly this smells fantastic and I wear lipstick a lot so this is more or less guaranteed to be a hit with me.

bbrowbar Eyebrow Pencil
Last but not least is a fairly substance sample make up product from a brand I've never tried but heard a lot about. I got the colour Indian Chocolate and although I haven't tested it out it looks like a fairly decent match. I always feel like its so good to have a few brow pencils in your make up collection for those days when you can't be bothered filling them in properly. Not going to lie I normally fill in my brows regardless of whether I'm wearing make up that day or not.

Overall, this box is well worth the money paid and the sheer variety in brands this month is really good! I absolutely love at least two of the products and although the other samples are less exciting they will definitely find a use!

What did you guys think of this months box?
