Uni is Out For Summer!

Hello all! Remember me?! Well I'm rather hoping that some of you do even though I have to hold my hands up and say it has been a while as sadly my exams were ruining my life and I genuinely never thought I'd see the end of them. However, now that they are over I wanted to talk about some of my plans for the summer and all the things I'm looking forward to doing in the next few months before I head back for my final year of history! *eeeek*

It's no secret that I am desperate to get back to blogging and I have sooooo many new things to talk about and so many new products in my collection to try. I've also been making a lot of AMAZING healthy foods because in case you didn't know I stopped eating meat completely about 3 months ago. It probably sounds crazy to change my diet so drastically but honestly I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything and I definitely still feel healthy and energetic every day! If anything I eat much more fruit and veg so this can only be a good thing for me. I'll hopefully be back with a mix of different recipes, beauty products and of course my usual lifestyle posts!

Second of all I'm really looking forward to getting stuck right into a few good books over the summer now that I'm not under pressure to read about the Hundred years war or the Bolshevik revolution anymore. I started Her by Harriet Lane shortly after Christmas but when I went back to uni in January I completely forgot all about it so despite having had it for so long I've only read a couple of chapters. I also want to read Gone Girl after seeing the movie which was amazing. I'll admit its not to everyone's taste but its right up my street and if you like dark humour then I definitely recommend you watch it! Speaking of watching TV I can't even begin to tell you guys how excited I am about the return of Pretty Little Liars...I might even do a separate blog post on it!

Next I also really want to start a YouTube channel. This is something I've tried in the past and I just couldn't seem to get it right. I did upload a video which was okay but to be perfectly honest I didn't have any help with the editing and I feel that's definitely something I need to work on if I'm going to film videos to go alongside my blog. I'm not sure whether I'd like to go down the tutorial route or whether I want to film chatty lifestyle videos about a range of topics, or maybe even both, but I know its something I definitely want to do and it seems like the next logical step for this little's actually scary to think that my blog turns two in December!

As strange as it sounds I do also kind of want to move on from my current job in sales at some point before I go back to my studies. Despite it being a part time job that I constantly moan about I do actually enjoy some elements of it and some of the opportunities I have been given there have definitely helped me to develop some of the skills I never thought I'd even need. I love all the friends that I have made there but something in the back of my mind is telling me its time to move on, its not a passion for me which is why I can't see myself stepping up to management level even after university. I don't regret anything about the time I have spent with what has been at times a good company to work for despite a few small issues so overall I guess I will be a little bit sad to leave.

I'd also quite like to do more exercise now that I have a lot of spare time on my hands not because I want to lose weight but more because I love using exercise to de-stress! I'll be going on a lot of runs through my local park hopefully if the weather is nice and if not I'll have to settle for Blogilates indoors. I'm hoping to have my very own car by the end of this month which also means I could try and find a good local gym rather than the crowded one I go to currently in the city centre. Although I'm not sure if driving to the gym defeats the whole purpose...

Lastly, I'm going away to Berlin at the beginning of June and I'm thinking of bringing the old blogging tools and working on some travel style posts as I honestly love reading them so much and they give me a serious case of wanderlust! I know I'm only going to be there for 5 or 6 days but its something new that I haven't tried before and I'm also hoping there is going to be some seriously cool scenery to capture now that I have a couple more lenses for the old DSLR. Admittedly, it isn't the easiest camera to cart around but there's no denying the images it produces are amazing and I definitely don't have the extra pennies to be spending on those king of blogging tools at the moment!

That's everything that I'm going to be working on this summer, and I cannot wait to get back into blogging! Hope you guys are looking forward to hearing from me again!
