HAUL: Boots and Feel Unique.

Oh dear look who has been naughty again! I'm supposedly on an unofficial spending ban, with T in the Park next weekend costing me a small fortune, my upcoming holiday in August with the boy, and my driving test in about 5 weeks it means I can't really afford to splurge on myself. But guys I have an excuse! I got some vouchers and money for my birthday so yesterday I went to get some holiday clothes and you know...beauty 'essentials'.

I recently noticed that Feel Unique had up to 30% off on French skincare, and I just had to get my all time favorite skincare product. I don't have to go into too much detail with this one as I'm pretty certain you all know how much I love the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo since I'm always raving about it on here. I also ordered the La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water, which is a refreshing spray that soothes and cools the skin! I thought it would be perfect for the sunny weather, but yeah that disappeared quickly didn't it Glasgow? Oh well maybe I can take it to TITP or on holiday with me.

I then went a bit crazy yesterday in Boots, but I had a gift card to spend so you can hardly blame me! I picked up the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, which is one of my holy grail skincare products. I'd ran out so I really wanted to repurchase; this stuff is like air to me! This huge bottle lasts ages as well so its well worth it! I also got the Garnier Ambre Solaire After Sun! Admittedly, I probably won't need to use this much since summer in Glasgow seems to have evaporated in the space of a few days, but I can stow it away for Turkey! It gets a good rep from all the beauty bloggers, which is why I purchased it, so I'll be blaming you lot if I'm not still a bronzed goddess in October!

I then went to the travel section and picked up a few miniature Batiste Dry Shampoos for T in the Park. I might hate dry shampoo normally, but 4 days worth of unwashed hair isn't so attractive! I also got a mini pack of my favorite face wipes, which are the Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Wipes. I know that face wipes aren't supposed to be very good for your skin, but these ones have no alcohol or harsh ingredients, and they are so soft and moist (ew I hate that word). Obviously it's going to be hard to take proper care of my skin at a festival, especially since my routine becomes less extensive the more alcohol I drink, but these will make sure I don't fall asleep with a full face of slap on!

Moving onto make up (the best part)! I got a few things I have been wanting to try for absolutely ages. I went to Bourjois and immediately picked up the Healthy Balance Powder. It smells just like the Healthy Mix Foundation - you know...fruity? It's so soft and comes with a huge mirror, and since I'm a fan of doing my make up on the train - or you know extra sleep - I knew I needed this in my life! I also got the 1 2 3 Perfect Foundation, which I have on today, and am loving it! The system is supposed to colour correct signs of fatigue, redness and dullness, which is perfect for me as I suffer from all three and find it hard to find a primer to help with all of them! I also decided to try the Eco Tools Skin Perfecting Brush, as my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush has been leaving my foundation a little streaky recently! This brush is amazingly soft and its shape means it gets right into those hard to reach areas. Supposedly its designed to give a really flawless finish, and after a little practice this morning I can definitely agree.

So this is what I've been spending my pennies on this week! I think I did quite well, do you?

  6. Nice haul- if you like the Eco Tools brushes you should check out the So Eco brushes (Tesco sells them, not sure where else). They're slightly cheaper & better in my opinion :)
