Superdrug Naturally Radiant Skincare.

I'm not usually a fan of budget skincare and prefer to spend a little more on the products I use on my face! I always think your make up looks so much better if you take proper care of your skin, and so I don't really mind a cheeky splurge on a night cream or a toner. Superdrug's Naturally Radiant range seems to be made for brightening the skin, and all of the products contain mulberry extract and kiwi. I should let you all know that I normally shy away from brightening products due to the oily/prone to breakout skin I've been 'blessed' with. I always think that brightening products can cause more harm than good to my skin. However, I haven't yet found this to be the case with these despite using them for a few weeks now! (Hurrah!) The packaging is also really good quality and reminds me of Liz Earle skincare!

Hot Cloth Cleanser : This is a lovely luxurious product, and when it says that it brightens the skin it certainly means so! I actually noticed a huge difference straight away after using this! My skin was definitely softer and more refined, and my moisturizer sank in like a dream! It also takes of every scrap of make up including mascara, although I would advise you take your eye make up off first. You even get the little muslin cloth in the box which is more than I can say for some of the more expensive hot cloth cleansers available.

Brightening Eye Cream : This is my favourite of the bunch. As soon as I put it on I noticed a little difference in the huuuuuge, dark, under eye circles I've inherited (thanks dad!). This is actually an amazing eye cream for the price, it contains sugar beet extract and has tiny shimmer particles which brighten the area. I also found that my under eye concealer (Boing FYI) was less dry or prone to creasing when I used this! Massive thumbs up!

Brightening Radiance Balm  : Like the eye cream this also contains shimmer particles which really added some luminosity to my usually dull skin. I think this looks gorgeous when used under a matte foundation, and although I've not tried it yet I suspect this would look amazing mixed in with a high coverage foundation for a  super flattering base that both covers and highlights.I'm not quite sure whether or not this is supposed to be used in place of a normal daily moisturizer, and if so; it looses points for the lack of SPF. As long as your foundation had a suitable SPF though you could get away with this.

Renewal Face Mask : Unfortunately, this is the one product out of them all that I didn't like. I used it a few times and didn't really see or feel like it did anything at all to my skin! Unlike the hot cloth cleanser I didn't see any added radiance, nor did it make my skin any softer! However, I have been thinking that it may just be my skin type as I normally go for heavier face masks to get rid of oil, and dirt. I'm a serial user of face masks containing ingredients like charcoal, and seaweed, so maybe its just that my skin has built up an immunity to lighter, radiance boosting masks. I'm actually going to give this to my mum and see if she can find any benefits from using it. Her skin is very different to mines (mature, dry skin) so maybe she will find that it works for her.

Overall, I'm seriously impressed with this range and will definitely be trying out a few more things! The products are super cheap, but give good results. I've been won over, and I'm certain I'll be mega sad when I get to the end of this eye cream.

  3. Thanks so much for writing this.. It's such a good read! I also have acne prone skin and incredible worried about what I put on my face and how much I put on there. I'm not sure if there are a lot of other bloggers out there that have issues with acne prone skin or maybe they just dont talk about it but i struggle to find post about my skin type. So thankyou! =)
