The Body Shop free gift | Update

Hey everyone!
This is a post I have meaning to get round to for a couple of days now, and now I am finally familiar enough with the products to do a full review of a product with purchase.

It probably goes without saying that here in Britain everyone loves a freebie. No matter who you are it is still a very exciting part of the experience when going shopping. Especially when shopping for beauty items. Now if you read my last post, which is linked here, you will know that I recently received a gift from the Body Shop, which I have been ridiculously excited to try out.

Lets start with my favorites.

Peppermint reviving foot soak (50g), £7 instore for 200g.

I have recently went back to university and as a result my feet have been tired and sore everynight so for me this product really is a godsend! It is simple to use, and makes your feet feel really soft. It has a lovely cooling effect due to the peppermint and I will definitely think about purchasing this in full size!

Mango Shower Gel (60ml), £2 for 250ml instore.

I don't have much to say about this as I simply love it because of the smell. Mango is so refreshing and really wakes you up in the morning. Also £2 for 250ml is a bargain!

Rainforest Shine Shampoo (60ml), £4.50 for 250ml instore.

Having used this range before I really knew what to expect so I haven't touched this small sample size preferring to stow it away for when I next go on my travels. This shampoo contains no sillicones or sulphates which is good for hair that is coarse and thick like mine as it doesn't strip your hair of its natural oils. It is rather hard to lather but that is due to absence of sulphates and it really makes your hair silky smooth.

The rest of the products I wasn't quite as excited about, but I have enjoyed them none the less.

'Soft Hands Kind Heart' Hand cream (50ml)

First things first I have to point out that I could not find this hand cream anywhere on the website nor in store, so whether this is actually sold or has been sold in the Body Shop stores I have no idea. Hand Cream is one of the products I actually own far too much of and never use so I wasn't too excited about this, but I suppose it is at least a handy size for travelling.

Vitamin C Facial Radiance Powder, (full size, 10ml), £14.

I have to say I am very puzzled by this product. Tbh I don't really know what it is for. I haven't noticed that my skin has become any more radiant while using this product and the packaging states that you have to discard it after 10 days which seems like a bit of a waste of £14. I did like the smell of this but that is really the only thing I liked about this product.

Love Gloss, (full size product), £10.

I must say I would not pay £10 for a clear lipgloss, which is essentially what this is. It is pretty and long lasting and has an unusual applicator, but that is really all I can say. However, it does make a lovely free gift so I'm not complaining about the product, I just don't think I would buy it at its RRP.

I really enjoyed trying out all these products and think free gifts are a great way for you to try new things without breaking the bank.

Have you recently done a gift with purchase review? Who do you think give the best free gifts?

Much Love, L :)
